School Evacuation April 23

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Near the end of the school day today, the fire alarm went off. The students very quickly evacuated the school and formed their lines at the back of the school. The fire department (conveniently located across the road) attended the scene and took care of the situation.
It was determined that the smoke was caused by a motor in a heating and cooling system. The students were permitted back into the school by the fire department to obtain their belongings and buses were dispatched home with students, with a 15 minute delay. School will resume tomorrow as normal.
We would like to thank our emergency services for responding so quickly and recognize the students for responding to the evacuation in a calm and respectful manner.
